- Macclesfield Art Group is a small but growing community based group of local artists who meet in Macclesfield to enjoy their interest in a relaxed supportive environment.
- The Group has been in existence for 70 years having started in 1948 with meetings held at members homes.
- . Meetings are held generally on the first and third Fridays of the month at the All Saints Church Hall, Brough Street West, Macclesfield, starting at 7pm until 9pm.
- It provides a very valuable opportunity for adults of all ages and abilities to develop their knowledge and skills in painting and drawing in any medium.
- The programme includes some demonstrations by professional artists, workshops, and opportunities for outdoor sketching trips in the summer time, weather permitting.
- An Exhibition and Sale of our work is held annually in Macclesfield.
- We rely upon membership fees and Council grant funding to continue our cultural programmes and educational endeavours.
- We currently have a small waiting list for membership
